Our Mission
To advocate for continued Access of Rheumatology Care. As a professional medical organization, we represent the standard of care for rheumatology patients in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire. The State Rheumatology Organization is a group of state or regional professional Rheumatologists formed in order to advocate for excellence in Rheumatologic disease care and to insure access to the highest quality care for the management of Rheumatologic and musculoskeletal diseases.
What is Rheumatology?
Rheumatology is a sub-specialty in internal medicine and pediatrics, devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. Rheumatologists mainly deal with clinical problems involving joints, soft tissues and allied conditions of connective tissues.
What is a Rheumatologist?
A Rheumatologist is an internist or pediatrician who is qualified by additional training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and other diseases in the joints, muscles and bones.
